The holiday season was upon them, and Sherilyn and Sophia were bustling around, preparing for the Christmas celebrations.

As previously arranged with Rebecca, Sherilyn took a trip to the Southern District Sanatorium two days early to pick her up. Since Sherilyn wasn't a direct relative, the paperwork took a bit longer than expected. "Finally, all set," Sherilyn sighed in relief upon her return, as she helped Rebecca pack her belongings. "Hope we didn't miss anything. If so, don't worry... you can always use mine." "Thank you," Rebecca smiled, her voice warm.

"Huh?" Sherilyn suddenly exclaimed, noticing a pile of festive goods. "Why do you have so many holiday goodies?"

"Is it a lot?" Rebecca asked, her sightless eyes turning towards the sound of Sherilyn's voice. "Jane told me the sanatorium handed them out."

"The Southern District Sanatorium sure thinks of everything," Sherilyn mused, rifling through the items. They reminded her of the gifts Gilbert had dropped off at her place days ago.

"Are you ready to go, Sherilyn?" Rebecca asked, dressed and ready.

"Yeah, let's head home," Sherilyn replied, offering her arm to Rebecca.

They headed back to the safety of Sunset Ridge Community, far from the prying eyes of Eddy, ready to enjoy the Christmas in peace.
