Chapter 1020

Suddenly remembering something, Naylor turned to Sherilyn, his tone laden with accusation. "He had surgery before, didn't he? Was there no follow-up?" "There was," came the response.

Before Sherilyn could reply, the chief doctor spoke up, "Mr. Harrison had his regular check-ups..."

"How could things have gotten this bad?" Naylor couldn't fathom the outcome.

"Mr. Harrison's last check-up was a month ago, and nothing unusual was found," the chief doctor explained, "But things can change rapidly within a month..." "Cut the crap!"

Naylor snapped, unable to contain his frustration, "What I want to know is, is my son going to be okay?"

Sherilyn, equally concerned, held her breath, not missing a beat as she stared at the doctor.

The chief doctor felt the pressure, "It's hard to say..."

"What do you mean 'hard to say'?"

Naylor's patience was wearing thin, his temper flaring, "What are the treatment options? What are the chances of recovery? Speak plainly!"

His gaze was piercing, "If you can't handle it, maybe you shouldn't be a doctor at all!"

The chief doctor, breaking into a cold sweat, tried to remain calm.
