Once they'd finished up with all the practical matters, Sherilyn turned to her brother with a warm smile. "Thanks for all your help." Then her tone shifted, a little teasing. "So, how are things with you and Joyce?"

"Well..." He hesitated, fidgeting. "It's... going okay, I guess?"

"What does 'okay' mean?" Sherilyn was incredulous. "Come on, spill. Is there a chance for something more?"
