The Horizon Awards‘ award–giving ceremony was about to start. Celebrities and special guests filed into their seats under the staff’s guidance. Maia was one of the special guests, so her seat was in the front row and her celebrities‘ seats were in the third and fourth rows.

She saw Cedric’s name on a seat next to her and flinched. Did he arrange for this to happen? He just had to sit next to her… She could not explain it, but her lip curved involuntarily and a smile formed.
