Chapter 49 Playing Hard to

Get

Charlotte tried hard to play the role of Arthur’s wife. By the time the gala ended, her smile was stiff with exhaustion.

After the event, she and Arthur left. However, neither of them noticed someone had taken photos of them.

After receiving the photos, Sarah immediately called this person. “Sonia, did they attend the charity gala together?”

“Yes,” Sonia Baldwin replied. She was Sarah’s close friend and knew just how much Sarah adored Arthur.

he and that woman were getting along just fine today,” Sonia asked.

Sarah gripped her phone tightly. “Arthur won’t lie to me. If he said he’ll divorce, he will.”

Sonia scoffed, “So, that is the woman who is clinging to Arthur, huh? Ugh, she was so shameless. Five years ago, she drugged him to sleep with him and became his wife. Now that you’re back, she still won’t let go. How low can she go?”

Sarah spoke softly, “Don’t say that. They have a son together. It’s not that easy to get a divorce.”

Sonia’s voice turned sly. “Arthur’s son seems to like you a lot. Why not use that to your advantage? If the kid is completely devoted to you, it will be easier for Arthur
