As I watched Sarah take in the soft afternoon light streaming in the bedroom., I couldn't help but feel a little bit like a kid on Christmas morning.

She had no idea what I'd planned for today, and I was ready to see that look of pure joy on her face when she found out.

A private boat tour, just the two of us out on the water with nothing but the sound of waves and the open sky-it felt right. Something simple, yet unforgettable. "Are you exhausted? Are you ready?"

She looked at me a bit confused. Probably she didn't remember me saying I had a surprise for her.

"Ready for what? What's the rush?"

"No rush," I replied, barely containing my excitement. "Just thought we could get out again. and enjoy the day... maybe take a little trip?"

Her eyes lit up with curiosity, and I knew I had her attention. "A trip? Where are we going?"

I grinned, leaning over to kiss her forehead. "That, my love, is a surprise."

She rolled her eyes but laughed, shaking her head. "You and your surprises, Richard. Should I be worried?"

"Not at all," I said, pulling her up. "Just trust me."

Half an hour later, we were standing on the docks, a small yacht waiting just for us. The air was salty and fresh, and I could already feel the stress of the past year fading as I watched Sarah's expression shift from confusion to realization. "This... this is for us?" she asked, a little breathless.
