Chapter 920 Emelie and William's Daily Life During Pregnancy

When Emelie was eight months pregnant, she and William returned from Mercianna to Capebatt City to await the birth. They wanted their baby to be born in Cedonia and have Cedonian citizenship.

William originally planned to arrange a private jet for the trip, considering how far along she was and how much more comfortable it would be to fly in their own plane for such a long journey.

However, when they applied for a flight route, they ran into some kind of situation in Faldoria. Aerial restrictions were in place, making it hard to get the approval.

Emelie shrugged it off. Her pregnancy symptoms weren't too bad, and flying first class on a commercial flight would be just fine.

As fate would have it, on the flight, they ran into someone who was a sort of familiar stranger-Elena.

She was a familiar stranger because they hadn't seen or heard anything about her for years, and Emelie had almost forgotten her.

However, they knew each other from back in the day when Elena had played quite a role during the lukewarm phase of Emelie and William's relationship.

They bumped into each other in the plane's dining area. Elena's gaze fell immediately on Emelie's belly, her expression dazed for a moment before she quickly lowered her head, as if hoping they wouldn't notice her. Emelie had no intention of greeting her. She simply pretended not to see her and sat down with William at their table.

As William ordered their meal, Emelie sipped her lemon water, a rather frightening expression on her face.

William wiped her utensils with a wet napkin and said gently, "Angel, don't look at me like that. You're scaring me.

At this point, most of William's attention was focused on Emelie. He knew her so well that just a glance from her could tell him what she was thinking.

He reassured her softly, "I swear, I never had any relationship with Elena."

Emelie took her time to respond. "I'm not accusing you of having anything with her. I just remembered that time she staged a whole fake kidnapping to frame me, which sparked a massive wave of online abuse. I even received packages with blood in them.

"Tell me, were those packages really sent by crazy netizens? Or did someone else plan it, hoping to speed up my falling into their arms?"

William was momentarily stunned, then quickly denied it. "How could I do something so despicable? I'll admit, I did pull some strings during that whole mess, but it was just to deal with those thugs. The cyberbullying and those packages, none of that was me. You can't pin that on me. It'd break my heart."

Emelie propped her chin on her hand. Back then, she really had dumped all the blame on him for everything.

That was just how she was. When she loved, she loved with all her heart, and when she hated, it was with everything she had.

Since she was dredging up old memories, she figured she might as well air all her grievances.

"What about the cultural heritage boat factory?" she continued. "When the cultural heritage boat collapsed, I rushed to save you. However, you protected Daphne. You sure treated her well back then, didn't you? You didn't even care about your own safety."

She added deliberately, "Whenever I think about that, I have a hard time believing your excuse. Did you really just do it to make me jealous because of my thing with Wesley? It doesn't feel like it. I bet you were into her, weren't you? You just like that sweet, innocent college girl type."

William didn't know whether to laugh or be angry. Mostly, he was frustrated with himself for all the stupid things

he had done back then.

He explained carefully, "At the cultural heritage boat factory, everything happened so fast. I didn't expect you to rush over save me. Daphne was standing right next to me, and the boat was about to crush her. I couldn't just let her get hurt, so I shielded her."
