“You guys made a mess in Redwood, Rick sighs and sits down across from me. “Did you find what you needed?”

“I’ll pay for reconstruction. We weren’t looking for anything. Just cleaning up a mess,”

“Thanks,” he clears his throat. “Am I allowed to ask?”

“No, and even if you were: I’m not the person who has any of the answers. I was just back up.”

“Is she okay?”

“I don’t know, but she’s not the one I’m worried about. We found a kid. Mackenzie Phurry’s son. That girl hasn’t been well since returning. She’s my cousin’s mate and I don’t think it’s a good match,”

“Because she’s a wolf?” he sneers making me laugh.

“Because she’s- I don’t know if she’s feral or if she’s getting there but there’s something wrong with her. Ferry plans on giving the kids to her and I think it’s a bad idea. She’s still a kid and I think we might have to put her in the- my phone interrupts
