Chapter 172

Nikola glanced at his pants and agreed, "You have a point. Women care about these things the most, especially old-fashioned girls like Tricia."

After saying that, he couldn't help but ask again, "Since you like Tricia, why are you marrying the young lady of the Aniston Family?"

Isaac couldn't talk about how he felt either. After all, they both signed the agreement, and both Adeline and him couldn't tell any outsiders that it was a fake engagement. In the end, he picked up a glass of wine and drank it all by himself.

Seeing that he wasn't replying, Nikola sighed. "As I thought, men are all the same. We always yearn for something that's not ours. That's why, I'll never get married in this life so that I can always enjoy myself."

Percy chuckled. "Nik, you don't understand Ise in the slightest. He must have a reason for this. After all, he's not a playboy at all. He's very loyal."

Seeing that Percy understood him more, Isaac raised his glass at him. "Cheers, my friend."

After drinking another glass, Patricia was sprawled out on the table, fast asleep. Isaac looked at the time. "I'm not going back to the city tonight. What about you two?"

Patricia was drunk out of her mind, so he planned to stay in the farmhouse for a night.

Eager to go back and make things clear with Darcie, Percy looked at the time and replied, "I'm going back after dinner. I have something to do."

On the other hand, Nikola didn't care. "I'm fine either way. I can stay here too."

Isaac extended his hand and shook Patricia. "Patricia, wake up."

She lifted her head, unable to see clearly in front of her, and pouted. "I'm sleepy…"

Then, she went to lie down again, while Isaac narrowed his eyes.

"The rest of you can continue eating. I'm taking her to rest somewhere else." Saying that, he lifted her up in his arms and wrapped his coat tightly around her.

Nikola yelled loudly, "Ise, don't make things difficult for yourself and just do what you want."

Hearing that, Isaac paused in his tracks. He wanted to do that too, but…

He strode back to the building in the back, where the guest rooms were in a separate small courtyard. The first floor was the living room, and the second floor was the bedroom. Liam had already booked a room and waited for Isaac to enter the room with Patricia before he exited the courtyard.

Isaac placed Patricia on the bed, then went into the bathroom to get a towel in order to wipe her face. When he came out with the towel, he found that the woman on the bed had disappeared.

His brows furrowed as he called out, "Patricia…"

The woman in question lifted her head from the ground. "Here!"

Then, she got up staggeringly, using the wall to support herself. "Where is this? Why can't I see clearly?"
