Chapter 181

Ryan's eyes narrowed. "So everything they said was true."

His gaze as he looked at Patricia was full of disappointment, and she could feel it as well.

"Yes, I'm exactly the kind of woman they say I am."

Saying that, she picked up her bag and prepared to go to her three children.

Suddenly, he grabbed her hand. "Tricia, why did you become like this?"

Back then, Patricia was the purest and loveliest thing in his heart. How could she turn out like this? It was completely out of his comprehension that she could get to the point where she didn't even know who the father of her children was.

She looked at him intently before scoffing. "I didn't change. It's you who didn't understand me well enough."

After speaking, she entered the glass house without looking back and placed her bag in a chair before walking toward her three children and putting her arms around their shoulders. Ryan only watched her, and finally his eyes darkened a little as he got up and left.

Patricia blinked as she looked out the window, thinking that the entire Appleby had become so small. Perhaps this was the feeling of having the entire world beneath one.

Sylvie turned her head and glanced at Ryan outside. Seeing that he had already left, she pulled Patricia to the other side. "Tricia, why didn't you know any better? Can't you see that Mr. Handsome is angry? You better go and comfort him!"

She handed Patricia a rose and pushed her. "Hurry up and go!"

Patricia turned to look at her before she let out a laugh. "Sylvie, you're thinking too much into it. Isaac is just my superior. It's not what you think."

As Scott and Stellan were standing near them, they could hear her clearly.

Sylvie shook her head. "I think Mr. Handsome likes you a lot!"

Patricia glanced at the man sitting alone at the table drinking tea. From this angle, his side profile was attractive, and his features were distinct. His crisp suit pants rode up his long and slender legs. With his lean, immaculate fingers, he grasped the cup handle and took a small sip. A faint smile appeared in his sharp eyes, and he seemed to be very satisfied with his drink. This man really was tall and handsome, and his elegance was unrivaled!

She turned her head away and averted her gaze, not letting herself be seduced by him. "Sylvie, you're wrong. He's going to be engaged to someone else this Saturday, so don't say these things anymore, all right?"
