Chapter 195

The next day, Patricia entered the office and sat in her chair, refusing to move.

She was ten minutes late getting home last night. As a result, her two sons woke her up at 5.30AM after tying a sandbag around her ankles and dragged her outside to run.

After running five kilometers, she was exhausted and her tight calves were in pain.

Patricia had not been through such rigorous training in a long time; it was Zachary who used to push her in this way.

When she first arrived in Everbright for work, Zachary was worried about her, so she was forced to learn Taekwondo.

He came to make her run early every day because she lacked physical strength. Her two sons, who were quick learners, used this method to punish her as well.

Isaac took notice of the woman who walked into the office and plopped like a dead fish on the chair.

"Miss Aniston, my coffee, please," he ordered while looking up from his stack of documents.

Hearing that, Patricia abruptly stood up and he clearly saw her frown. Is she feeling sick?

Is she on her period?

No, I don't think so. I'm aware that it's been a week since her period. During that time, she will carry around a hot pack and be grumpy all the time.

In a short while, she set down two coffee cups in front of him while clearly displaying her bad temper.

He decided to endure and tolerate her as he assumed she was on her period.

What happened to Patricia today? She looks so exhausted.

What happened to Patricia today? She looks so exhausted.

With trembling calves, Patricia went to the pantry and made Isaac his favorite coffee, added with only a little milk, before placing it in front of him.

"Here's your coffee, President Arnold."

After saying that, she thought of something and narrowed her lovely eyes slightly.

"Please keep in mind that you have a video conference at 9.30PM, President Arnold." She hurried back to her seat after the reminder and instantly felt much better.

She became preoccupied with her work; every now and then, there would be calls coming in, which she would answer before extending the calls to Isaac.

When he looked up from his screen following his video conference, he noticed Patricia was fast asleep on the table.

His eyes softened as he approached her.

He draped his coat over her, intending to carry her into the lounge to rest.

However, he knew that she would definitely wake up if he moved her as she was a light sleeper.

The temperature in the office remained warm.

Isaac then looked down at her neat and tidy desk with her notebook open.

'Classes begin at 7.00PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.'

Silently, he had the dates memorized as he did not want to be a hindrance to her as she had been working hard.

At this moment, Sorella pushed the door open and entered the office. She blinked as she saw President Arnold covering Patricia with his coat.

Despite the recent rumors in the company that Patricia had been abandoned by him, she remained here shamelessly.
