Chapter 210

The cutlery in Patricia's hand fell to the ground. "What?! Josephine, call the police. Now." As she was speaking on the phone, she stood up and walked very fast toward the exit.

"Tricia, did you borrow money from Gus' company? They said that if you call the police, Sylvie won't be able to come back."

Patricia finally understood what was going on. It was the 70,000 that she borrowed from Gus. Today was the third day, but Darcie still hadn't managed to sell the house. What could she do at this stage?

"What about Scott and Stellan? Were they not there?" If those two boys were there, Gus would not have been able to take Sylvie away. Both of them had black belts in Taekwondo, and she got her black belt under their guidance too.

"Tricia, the two of them went out, that's why Sylvie was taken away." As she said that, Josephine sobbed because she had never encountered such a scary situation in her life before. The things at home were also smashed by those vicious-looking people. Not to mention it was heart-wrenching to see Sylvie cry like that.

Patricia pursed her lips. "Josephine, I'll be right back." She hung up the phone, and her tears could not stop falling. After she raised her hand to wipe them away and was just about to open the door, her wrist was grabbed by a large hand.

"What's wrong?" Isaac looked at her, and when he saw her tears, his heart ached. Patricia turned to look at the people in the lounge, and she shook her head.

"President Arnold, I've tried all the dishes, and they're all fine. I'm done with my work, so I'll leave now." She quickly withdrew her hand, opened the door, and left without waiting for another second.

He frowned slightly at her odd behavior. So, he took out his phone and made a series of calls. "Follow Patricia and see where she's heading to. Update me when you have news." After hanging up, he clenched his phone. What happened to her that she even cried? She was reluctant to tell him, which made him a little uncomfortable.

Adeline approached Isaac and said, "Isaac, it's almost time. Let's go downstairs."

Only then did Isaac come back to his senses. He nodded and went downstairs with the group.

The master of ceremonies was giving the opening remarks on the stage when they came down. The Arnolds and the Anistons were prepared.

Phillip, who was in a wheelchair, was also present. He was wearing a tuxedo today and was full of energy. Elizabeth was wearing a dark red dress, and she looked extravagant and outstanding. She stood beside Phillip and bent over to look at him.
