Patricia took out her ID card from the bag. "I have an ID card and have signed a contract with you before, so you can check. I am the mother of that child. Let me meet her first."

The man inside looked at Patricia and the ID card in her hand. After ensuring she was the person in the photo, he opened the door.

The room had very poor air circulation. The men were playing drinking games and yelling, and the choking smell of smoke made her cough a few times.

"Boss, this is the woman who owes us money." Blake, sitting in the main seat, looked up at Patricia.

Before Patricia came upstairs with the two men, she deliberately messed up her makeup, so now she looked ugly. Her black eyeliner was smudged around her eyes, making her look like a giant panda. Her lipstick was smeared around her lips, giving the impression that she had a particularly big mouth.

Hence, Blake glanced quickly at her and looked away; he was obviously disgusted at her appearance. "After paying back the money, you can take your daughter away," he said coldly. The scar on his face was slightly pulled toward each side of his face as he spoke, making it uncomfortable to look at.

Patricia handed over the card. "The money is in here. You can swipe it directly, or I can transfer the money." Initially, she did not want to use the card because she knew that her grandfather was the one who had given her the 500,000. So, she was not willing to touch a single cent.

But today was different. Sylvie was in their hands, and she could save her daughter with the money. Self-esteem and arrogance were no longer important to Patricia.

The man motioned to his subordinate, who took the card away. Patricia merely stood there looking at those men, who were savages, swearing and drinking alcohol.

It was the first time she had seen such a scene, and she was pretty shocked. Now she knew the world was full of people like the ones she saw tonight, not just handsome and cool wealthy young masters like Isaac and the others. They were not ordinary people but dirty, stinky, ugly, bad-tempered, angry men.

She clenched her handbag tightly in both hands. She was glad that she had made this ghastly appearance before coming upstairs. Otherwise, a woman like her would be a prey item in front of these men. She would be finished if one of them started having additional thoughts about her.

Doad and Fatty were also sitting at the table and were having a drink with the others. All the men seemed excited. As they were eating meat and drinking wine, their voices grew louder.

Patricia kept glancing at the room not far away. Why was the guy so slow to transfer the money? She wanted to leave here with Sylvie as soon as possible without having to delay any longer. The drunker these people got, the more dangerous it would be for her and Sylvie. As these thoughts crossed her mind, Patricia lost her patience and could not help but stare at the door.

A woman in a tight red skirt emerged at that moment, her hips swaying. "Blake, there's not enough money on this card."

He glanced at Patricia with his fierce eyes upon hearing that. "Patricia, are you playing with us? If you don't have enough money, who will you redeem?"

Patricia hastily explained, "There's exactly 500,000 in it. It's the principal amount I borrowed from you. I can make up for the interest tomorrow." Tonight's event was too sudden, and she did not have time to find Darcie. Since there were only 500,000, she thought she could beg them to give her some leeway after she paid the principal. They should not be afraid that she would be running away if she repaid the principal.
