Chapter 235

Patricia opened the car door and got out before puking again on the side of the road.

In the car behind Zachary's, there was a man who was frowning as he stared at how uncomfortable she was. Wasn't he supposed to be taking her home? Why did he let her get out of the car and stand in the cold breeze?

It'd be a miracle if she didn't puke under the circumstances. Isaac's breath grew heavier in his ire.

Just then, Zachary's driver stepped out of the car and helped Patricia to her door.

Zachary stayed in the car without getting down.

After seeing that Patricia was home safe, Isaac instructed coolly, "Take me home."

He leaned against the seat and rubbed his eyes.

In that instant, he realized why Zachary didn't manage to make Patricia his even though she had been beside him for five years.

Zachary was a gentleman who didn't use any tricks, even though he liked her.

Isaac smirked. He had to thank Zachary for being a gentleman. It gave him the chance to meet Patricia.

The next morning, Patricia was woken up by her three children.

She opened her eyes and blinked a little dazedly at the three children in front of her.

"What time is it?"

"It's 8AM," Scott stated plainly.

Patricia gasped. "What?! Is it already this late?!"

She leaped out of bed and flew to the bathroom.

Sylvie chuckled. "Tricia hasn't changed at all. She still likes to sleep in."

Stellan shrugged. "Mommy's adorable!"

Scott checked the time. "We need to go to school now or we'll be late."

Now that they had woken Patricia up, she would make it to work on time, so they should leave for school now and let her handle the rest herself.

Patricia took a quick shower to freshen up. She had been too drunk to wash up last night, and she didn't have time to wash her hair this morning.

She decided to put her head up to make herself look presentable.

Patricia considered driving to work, but after recalling how bad traffic would be right now, she decided to take the subway.

After jogging all the way to the station and then the office, she clocked in at the office at exactly 8.59AM.

She tried to catch her breath as she stood there in front of the time clock.

"Thank goodness I'm not late."

Liam came in with his breakfast and chuckled when he spotted Patricia.

"Were you late today, Miss Aniston?"

Patricia straightened up as soon as she saw him.

"No, I wasn't late, Mr. Dorchester. I just barely made it."

She saw that he had his arms full, so she held her hand out.

"Did you get breakfast for President Arnold? Let me help with carrying that."

Liam wouldn't dream of it. This was the woman his boss cared the most about. He wouldn't dare to let her do any of the grunt work, even if he had the courage of a thousand suns. Thus, he gave her a small smile.
