Chapter 250

Zachary let her hand go when they got to the other side of the street. When they were a few steps away from the company, a young girl suddenly showed up.

"Care for some flowers for your girlfriend, sir?" The girl was in dirty clothes, and her hair was disheveled. Her shirt was thin, and her hands were red from the cold.

Patricia asked, "Why are you out here selling flowers, girl?" She always had sympathy for kids since she had children of her own.

The girl answered timidly, "My grandma's sick, and I need money for her medication."

Zachary whipped his wallet out and handed her a stack of cash. "I'll take it."

The girl quickly waved her hands. "That's too much. I just need fourteen bucks."

He took the flowers from her. "The rest is for your grandmother's medications."

The girl then bowed to them. "Thank you, mister. Thank you, lady. You're so kind. I wish you happiness."

The girl cracked a smile and left.

Zachary handed the flowers to Patricia. "For you."

It is my first time receiving flowers—one big bouquet of roses, no less. "Thank you." She smiled.

Zachary had always been a kind guy. She took the bouquet and went into the building. The moment she entered the elevator, everyone looked at her.

Most departments didn't talk to one another, so they had no idea who she was. When the employees at the president's office saw what she was holding, they asked, "Did your boyfriend give you this, Miss Aniston?"

"He's such a romantic."

Patricia froze for a moment. She wanted to say no, but rumors were flying around the company, and lots of people were waiting for the chance to make fun of her, so ultimately, she said yes. Wouldn't want even more trouble down the road.

When she went into Isaac's office holding the flowers, she was met with a dark look. The moment Isaac saw the flowers, he shot up and strode over to take her bouquet.

"Hey!" She had wanted to take it back to her home. I wanna tell the kids about the girl who sold flowers, and I can't do that if he took it away—No! He tossed them into the bin?! Patricia followed him. "Why did you throw my flowers?"

She tried to pick them back up, but he held her hand and swiveled her around, turning her away from the bin. "You're not picking them up."

The look on Patricia's face changed. "Those are my flowers, though."

Isaac stared straight into her eyes, his jaw tensing up. "Are his flowers that important? I can buy you some if you want," he said coldly.
