Edric had made an appointment to meet with Thomas. He made no effort to hide his true intentions either as he said, "I'm going to ask you questions about your past. I hope you will be honest and tell me only the truth."

"When the real Thomas had passed away in an accident, I had returned to San Fetillo in a sorry state, and had nowhere to go.
