"But..." Martin looked troubled.

"Why can't you open it? I'm going to get inside one way or another, so if you're not going to open the gate, be ready to pack your things."

Santiago's voice was harsh, and Martin knew he couldn't change his mind. So, he opened the gate and let Santiago enter.
