"Is he going to Longfield, too?" Clara thought. It was understandable for her to be surprised. After all, the man did not fit in at all.

More people entered the bus, crowding the vehicle. Finally, the driver started the engine.

The bumpy ride and the smell of the bus made Clara feel a little nauseous. Soon, she dozed off. When the bus made a sharp turn, her head rested on the man's shoulder.
