"Is he going to Longfield, too?" Clara thought. It was understandable for her to be surprised. After all, the man did not fit in at all.

More people entered the bus, crowding the vehicle. Finally, the driver started the engine.

The bumpy ride and the smell of the bus made Clara feel a little nauseous. Soon, she dozed off. When the bus made a sharp turn, her head rested on the man's shoulder. Alexander Sinclair's eyes flew open as a cold gardenia scent entered his nostrils. Turning his head, he frowned when he saw the woman resting her head on his shoulder. He recognized Clara, and he wondered if she was following him. Disgusted, Alexander pushed her head away. "Get away."
