Izzy’s POV

So far no one else has shown up at the cottage and I start to wonder if someone ever will. Every night I hear Grace cussing and swearing as another day ends without anyone knocking on the door.

My eyes are starting to close as I smell a familiar scent and I shoot up straight. We are not close enough to our Pack–borders for me to smell anyone from our Pack. Evie is pacing in my head, she knows the smell is from someone we know and it irritates the both of us that we can’t put a name to it.

A twig snaps near the tree, we can hear footsteps and then we see a man appear below us. From where I am sitting I am unable to recognize him, so I know I have to be patient.

Just as he approaches the cottage, Grace opens the door and walks out to the man. He pulls her against him and starts kissing her. Before I am able to see his face, they disappear in to the cottage.

Knowing that I have to stay awake, Evie and I start to talk about the next Full Moon. It is only a few days away and we both wonder if we will be home by then.

From time to time I want to cover my ears, because I can hear everything that is going on in there. Then it gets real quiet in there and I wonder if he will be leaving soon.
