She glanced down, speaking with sorrow.

Sure, you have to try to convince her, but why must I be the one to wait for you to sort things out? Cathy will always find new excuses. There won’t be an end. The child needs education. The child falls ill. The child feels unhappy. One call to you and you’re summoned up to her side.”
