Read Omega’s Possession by Jessica Hall Book 2 Chapter 29 – Raidon POV

“Sh*t. I still can’t get a hold of Rhen. No one is answering the home phone, he isn’t picking up when I call his cell, and he doesn’t respond to the mind link either,” Leon announced just as Thane asked me if I had heard from Rhen recently.

Thane was the Alpha of Alphas in our pack. If anyone, he had to be the only one who could have the ability to wake Rhen using the mind link. None of us could defy his command and get away with ignoring his attempts to reach out.

A sinking feeling settled in my gut as I sucked in a breath. “Wait. You can’t reach him either?” I asked Thane, clearly dumbfounded by his words. “No.” Thane dragged the word as if he was thinking. “It feels like he is asleep. I tried the house phone but got no answer, so I thought maybe he had reached out to you guys.”

The feeling in my gut became worse, and at this point, I feared the worst. Yet, I didn’t want to raise panic if it wasn’t necessary yet, so I tried my best to sound as casual as possible.

“Try to force him awake, perhaps? We have been trying to get a hold of him for the last twenty minutes,” I suggested as I nodded my head for Leon to follow me.

Leon pulled the video footage memory card we would hand over to the police, and we made our way out of the building using the fire exit. I felt Thane trying to force the mind link, yet he got nothing, and my stomach sank once again. Now, I definitely knew the previous feeling didn’t appear for nothing. Something was wrong.

After a few more attempts, Thane groaned. “When was the last time you or Leon heard from him?”

I needed him to hear the questions and answer them before anything else could happen. Rhen’s eyes rolled slightly just as Leon came back. Scarlet had settled now, already asleep in his arms, and Rhen attempted to reach for her. “How? I was..?” Rhen cut himself off. He seemed out of it, very confused.
