Jasmine POV

I can’t have heard Calliope correctly. “Cali, I can’t be the Alpha. I’m too old to take over the pack now.” “Mother, you are by no means old. You could still have pups if you find your second chance mate” she says, winking at me. I roll my eyes. “You’re only thirty-seven years old, mom. Alpha’s only retire to pass the pack to their children, but you are more than capable of running this pack. Your father and mine took away the role you were always meant to have.” I fight back tears and I hate them both for all they took from me. Calliope is the only good thing that came out of my mating. Could I really become the Alpha after all these years? I turn to Anthony, Oliver, and Benson. “What do the three of you think about this?
