Caden slipped off his suit jacket and gently placed it over my shoulders. “Why are you standing here alone at the amusement park entrance?” he asked.

I shook my head. “No, they passed away a long time ago.”

“I don’t even remember what they looked like,” I admitted with a sigh. “Grandpa told me they died in an accident when I was little.”
