“Dr. Watts, the wonder doctor?” I froze. I had never heard of him. “Who is he?”

Bert glanced at the heart monitor, then spoke again, “Dr. Watts was once a renowned medical master in the Werewolf Continent. His skills were exceptional; he cured many patients with terminal illnesses. But 20 years ago, something happened, and he suddenly disappeared.”

“Disappeared?” My expression tensed, and my voice carried a note of urgency. “Where can we find him

now?”

Bert shook his head regretfully and said, “I don’t know. Or maybe it’s more accurate to say, no one knows.”

His words crushed the faint hope I had, and my heart sank once again.

After a moment of silence, I asked, “What happened 20 years ago?”

Bert sighed lightly and explained, “I’m not sure of the details. All I know is that whatever happened hit him hard. After that, Dr. Watts vanished. Many people have tried to find him over the years, but no one’s had any luck. Now, all these years later, no one knows where he is–or even if he’s still alive.”

My heart clenched, and I couldn’t help but clench my fists.

Though the chances seemed slim, I had to find Dr. Watts for my grandfather’s sake. No matter where he was, even if he was at the ends of the earth, I would find him.
