It had been days since I last checked on Yura, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. So, I made my way to the hotel where she was staying.

Yura hadn’t returned to her apartment for days, choosing instead to rent a room at a hotel. When she saw me at the door, she looked surprised.

After letting me in, I sat casually on the edge of the bed, watching my best friend with concern. “You’ve been staying here this whole time? When are you planning to go home?”

What had happened between her and Ryan that night was something she couldn’t seem to move past. But hiding away in a hotel wasn’t a long–term solution.
