Seeing Yura like that left me feeling let down, but I held back my words and turned toward the nearby hillside instead.

To the Alpha and Luna of the Galehowl Pack, I was Yur’s partner, yet deep down, both of us knew there was nothing real between us.

Whatever. I might as well just hike up the mountain.

The view along the trail was breathtaking. By the time reached halfway up, I was already drenched in sweat. Just as I straightened up to take a breather, my eyes landed on a figure in the distance.

I paused for a moment before stepping forward and spotted an elderly werewolf woman fainted on the ground. Kneeling beside her, I gave her arm a gentle shake.
