Evelyn shook her head, “When I see Old Mr. Quintin, I just feel this warmth, like he’s family. I have this gut feeling that he’s my grandpa!” Old Mr. Quintin looked at Evelyn with kindness in his eyes, “My dear child, you’ve had it tough out there. When your mother returns, she’ll be overjoyed.” “My mother?” Evelyn asked curiously. “Yes, I’ve had someone reach out to your mother, and she’ll be back soon!” Old Mr. Quintin’s voice choked with emotion. “All these years, she never remarried. She’s been waiting for you!” Tears welled up in Evelyn’s eyes, “I hope I get to see my mom soon!” As the group chatted and laughed, dusk was settling in. Gabriel came in from outside, and Old Mr. Quintin immediately shared the news about Evelyn with him. Gabriel remembered his grandpa mentioning Nana a few times when he was a kid, but he never imagined they’d actually find her after all these years. And to think, it was Estelle who stumbled upon her at Citadel – what are the odds! He looked at Estelle with a hint of surprise. Estelle was looking down, lost in thought. Gabriel smiled lightly, “If it’s true, congratulations, Old Mr. Quintin!” Old Mr. Quintin eyed Gabriel and then got a bright idea, “Say, Mr. Jarvis, how about we become family? What if we match Nana with Gab for marriage?” Gabriel objected immediately, “How could we do that?” Evelyn glanced at Gabriel, his handsome and resolute features causing her to blush and shyly lower her gaze. Sophia clapped her hands in delight, “I think Old Mr. Quintin’s got a point. Evelyn, you don’t have a boyfriend, right?” Evelyn shook her head, “Nope!” “There you have it – it’s fate!” Old Mr. Quintin’s face was flushed with happiness. Old Mr. Jarvis chuckled, “Aren’t you jumping the gun a bit?” “What do you mean? You’re not on board?” Old Mr. Quintin huffed. “It’s not that, but there’s quite an age gap between the two. Aren’t you worried about shortchanging Nana?” Mr. Jarvis teased. Old Mr. Quintin grunted, “If I’m not complaining, why should you? It’s settled then. If Evelyn truly is my Nana, our families will unite.” Gabriel laughed helplessly, “Old Mr. Quintin, arranged marriages aren’t exactly in vogue these days.” Old Mr. Quintin glared, “What, you’re not keen either?” Old Mr. Jarvis interjected, “What’s there for him to object to? It’s not up to him anyway!” Gabriel just stood there, speechless. “Tell your grandpa about your childhood, Evelyn. Anything you remember could help,” Estelle adeptly changed the subject. Sure enough, Old Mr. Quintin was immediately distracted and began a long conversation with Evelyn. There was so much for Old Mr. Quintin and Evelyn to

Jarvis out to the gazebo, where he asked, “Does Evelyn have any distinguishing marks? How can we be sure she’s Old Mr. Quintin’s granddaughter?” Old Mr. Jarvis replied, “Nana has a unique red birthmark on her back, and according to Evelyn, she was indeed adopted by new parents when she was about three or four. The birthmark and her story both align with what we know about Nana.” A red birthmark? Gabriel suddenly thought of Sylvia and shook his head, “Lots of people have birthmarks. Old Mr. Quintin has decided that Evelyn is his granddaughter without a DNA test. What if he’s wrong?” Estelle said gravely, “I originally wanted to have a paternity test done before introducing Evelyn to Old Mr. Quintin, but she showed up on her own accord.” Gabriel added, “It’s not too late to do it now, but Old Mr. Quintin doesn’t seem to be in a hurry.” Old Mr.
