"Where are you?" Jason asked, his voice deep with concern.

"On the streets," Sophia sobbed into her phone.

"Head back home, I'll come find you!" As he spoke, Jason grabbed his coat and hurried outside.

"Stay home for now; I'll be okay. I just need some time to cool off," Sophia tried to reassure him.

"Go back to your apartment. I'll be there before it gets dark. Don't go anywhere else, got it?" Jason's voice was filled with worry, trying to suppress his anger.

"Mhm," Sophia nodded, tears streaming down her face.

Jason made a few calls, pulling some strings with the Gilder family connections, and arranged a private jet straight to J City.

By the time he arrived in J City, it was nearly dark. He reached Sophia's apartment and entered, finding it dark and empty, a clear sign no one had been back in a while. He immediately called Sophia, "Where are you?"
