Shawn subtly shifted the conversation toward Flora, and while Flora wasn't one for many words, each one she spoke was spot on. This earned her newfound respect from the seniors, and they began to like her a lot more.

After all, a beautiful girl is always a delight to have around. Just looking at Flora's face seemed to lift their spirits.

Alexa watched from the sidelines, her grip tightening around her fork. A flicker of jealousy crossed her eyes. She despised Flora, truly despised her. She loathed her appearance, wishing she could tear it apart! Not wanting Flora to steal the spotlight, she changed the subject, "Seniors, I've been researching a topic recently..." She purposely brought up technical jargon, flaunting her knowledge. She thought Flora would surely be lost, managing both to silence her and to showcase her own expertise.

But she forgot that everyone at the table were top medical students who had spent years in the lab. Alexa's behavior was like showing off her sword skills in front of a master swordsman, almost ridiculous. Who talks shop during dinner? And to top it off, some of her information was incorrect.

Compared to her, Flora seemed even more endearing. Though of average ability, she was sensible and comfortable to be around.

Darcy frowned deeply, "Alexa, you got several things wrong. You mixed up the non-control systems and feedback control systems. Go back and study these thoroughly; I'll test you tomorrow."

to leave, she hesitated and double-checked the door handle. Seeing it was indeed locked, she relaxed. Her triumphant grin returned, but as she

falling heavily to the ground. Her head hit the sink, swelling into a large bump that oozed traces of blood. Flora leaned lazily against the door, looking down at her with half-drooped eyes that carried a hint of coldness.
