“He’s expected to arrive in Newden City in a few days and hopes to meet you.”
“Okay, I know about this. You can handle the arrangements,” Leonard said, nodding.
Once Rex had left.
Leonard lay in bed, preparing for a good night’s sleep.
Then the doorbell rang.
Marianna’s face appeared on the monitor.
“Why is she here?”
Leonard went down to open the door, frowning. “Didn’t you leave with your mom?”
“Yes, but I ran away. Leonard, can you take me in? I’m homeless now.”
Leonard felt a bit overwhelmed.
Honestly, Marianna was beautiful. But it was precisely because of her beauty that Leonard was troubled.

But seeing Marianna looking so pitiful, Leonard finally gave in.
