Allison was sprawled on the bed, mumbling gibberish. Shannon had just reached the kitchen to whip up some hangover coffee when the doorbell rang.

When she opened the door, Shannon was caught off guard. "Mr. Fisher, what are you doing here?"

"How is she?"

"Ms. Allison had a bit too much. I was about to make some coffee to help her sober up."

Joshua pulled out a few bills from his wallet. "You can take the night off; I'll look after her."

Shannon took the money. "Alright, Mr. Fisher, just give me a sec to pack some things."

Shannon placed a steaming cup of tea on the coffee table. "Please, have a seat, Mr. Fisher. I won't be long."
