A so-called savior? The idea was downright laughable.

Did she ask him to save her? Or did he save her just to play the hero card? He had teamed up with Nova to steal her designs and let Nova call the cops-how could he have the nerve to call himself her savior after all that?

"That's your version of it," Eliza said dismissively, turning her back to him as she lay down.

Casper was on the brink of losing it.

Dillon quickly intervened, "I'll get a nurse to change your dressing. Don't get worked up. You're still recovering."

Casper's wounds were nearly healed. He'd transferred to this hospital solely because of the severe injuries he'd sustained for Eliza. And yet, she hadn't visited him once. No messages, no calls. It was like nothing had happened, and he couldn't stomach that.

"I should've just let Nova finish you off. It would've been so much simpler."

Eliza slowly opened her eyes, her beautiful face illuminated by the dim light.

That was what Casper really wanted. Everything he did was for Nova, his so-called true love.
