Amid the commotion caused by the news, Nola had no interest in shopping. The clothes were too expensive, and she couldn’t bear to buy them. After thinking it over, she decided to come back another time. With nothing else to do, the two of them left early.
As she left, Nola didn’t notice two familiar figures coming out from another door.
When Tanya saw Nola get into a BMW, her face turned sour.
“Mom, isn’t that Nola? She actually married Elvis and has a dedicated car picking her up.” Even Tanya didn’t get treated that well at home. Thinking that Nola was living a better life than her, Tanya felt resentful.
“I heard from your dad that it seems to be true. Mr. Joan is not happy about it, but it’s the Grayson family, and he can’t do anything about it. However, the Grayson family hasn’t made any moves, so it’s uncertain whether someone like her will be accepted by them. Who knows if she is able to live well there or if it’s all just for show.”
“People are saying that Elvis has always been obsessed with his deceased girlfriend. Isn’t Nola just becoming a widow? Mom, I’m not happy about this. Nola has married into such a good family, shouldn’t we ask her to bring her husband home for a meal? She can’t just forget about the Grant family now that she’s flying high.”
Lelia suddenly understood her daughter’s meaning. Nola had come out alone, so it seemed like her life wasn’t much better.
With such a prominent family background like the Graysons, how could Elvis get married without inviting guests? But now there was no movement at all. Lelia heard that Elvis‘ parents were still outside, and the old Mrs. Grayson was still in the hospital. Nola was definitely being ignored, just a dispensable role.
And yet, Nola had the nerve to come out.
“Don’t worry, if that bitch dares to touch you, Mom won’t let her get away with it. Just take this opportunity to call Javion back and have a family meal to get to know him. I want to see if Elvis really cares about this bitch.”
“If he did, she wouldn’t have come out alone. When she comes back, I’ll teach her a lesson,” Tanya said as she touched her face. If it weren’t for the special medicine, her bruises wouldn’t have healed so quickly. She believed that it was Nola’s fault.
Today, Tanya applied a thick layer of foundation to cover the bruises before leaving the house. Since Nola dared to lay a hand on Tanya, Nola would have to pay an even more painful price. This was Tanya’s rule, and no one was exempt!
