Chapter 27

Xander’s phone started to ring as soon as he pulled over at the parking lot of the tall hotel building.

“Nick” was written on the screen of his phone, so he swiped the answer button Immediately and held it to his ear.

“Are you there yet?”

“Yes, boss. Where should I take the car?” Nick’s voice sounded from the other end, and he glanced over to Summer who was still deeply asleep.

*Bring the car to the hotel down the street, Park it at the parking lot when you come, and hand the keys to the receptionist,”

“Yes, boss.” The call disconnected immediately, and he sighed.

Xander couldn’t hide his excitement as he looked at Summer with a smile on his face.

“She’s cute,” he found himself admitting

The sound of the knock on the car door caught his attention, and a blurry figure was towering over his side mirror when he looked in the direction. Slowly, he wined down the glass, revealing a man in his forties.

“Is there a problem, Sir? You’ve been parked for some time now and not leaving the car,” From the way the young man was dressed, Xander die to be told that he was a security guard.

“Oh… Not really. Thank you,” He smiled at the man weirdly who slowly nodded before leaving.

He removed his seatbelt, alighted from the car, and walked over to the other side to help her out.

He could’ve driven her home from the restaurant, but she needed some rest, so hethought it wise to take her to the nearest hotel which was just down

the street, not far from the restaurant.

‘There is only one room available with just a single bed. Are you going to take it like that?” The receptionist had said to Xander when he tried to check in.

‘I will take the room’ You weren’t expecting him to reject it when he wanted this opportunity so badly, right?

“Make use of the telephone if you need anything. Sir,” The young beautiful slim lady said to Xander after they arrived at the room where he was lodged.

“I know.”H

His reply was blunt and cold.

“Excuse me,”

After the receptionist left, he used the pass card on the door, pushed it open, and walked inside.
