Chapter 197

Nancy was knocking outside the restroom, and Ellie was trapped by Alex in a very compromising position on the sink’s countertop, unable to escape.

Ellie was about to cry, but Alex was unmoved.

The two locked eyes, and Alex asked again, “Tell the truth and let you go. Where did you hide those paintings”

Ellie’s eyes flickered briefly before she suddenly frowned and held her lower back. “It hurts.”

“Where does it hurt? Let me see.” Without a second thought, Alex let Ellie go, lifted her off the sink, and reached out to check her lower back by raising her dress.
