Chapter 347

The butler stood in the hallway, visibly shaken. “Young Master, it was Madam who told me to throw it away.”

Alex exploded, “Throw it where?!”

The butler quickly replied, “Madam told me to toss it at the garbage station, but I thought you might need it urgently, so I secretly put it in the storage.”

Before the butler could finish, Alex had already dashed to the staircase.

In the living room on the first floor, the butler approached Nancy, “Madam, should we get a psychologist for young master?”

Nancy frowned, “Let him retrieve it and make do for now. We need to find him a woman to marry,

fast.”

It was deep into the night at the second–floor study of the Warren Manor. Alex stood by the floor–to–ceiling windows, wearing dark pajamas.

On the screen behind him, Barry was frowning and speaking. “Jason isn’t just Aaron’s uncle; he’s also Nathan’s comrade. And he married Whitney from the York family years ago. They’re currently living at the Thompson residence in the West Suburbs, Number Seven.”

As the video call ended, Alex remained still at the window. Inside, his heart felt as dark as the endless night, with no light in sight.

He picked up his phone and opened the chat with Nancy. Their last conversation had been over two weeks ago when he had asked her for a gift.

A few minutes later, in his master bedroom, Alex leaned against the wall, holding a half–burned cigarette. His gaze was lost, fixated on the rubber doll he had dressed up on the bed, his brow furrowing tighter.
