Ellie stood frozen, feeling like she’d seen the man in military uniform before, but she was sure they had never met.

As the man stepped closer to Whitney, Ellie instinctively took a step back.

Whitney looked at the man, her vision blurring more and more. When their eyes locked, Whitney’s shocked expression broke the silence. “I thought I’d never see you again in this lifetime!”
