"Yo, Matthew, sup?" Shawn's energetic voice came through as the call connected, filling Matthew with a pang of envy. There was a time when he, too, had Shawn's level of energy. Now, however, he was bogged down by a mountain of paperwork. He thought of Blake and the elder's face full of wrinkles. The fact that such a powerful figure had aged so visibly was certainly not without reason.

Alas, young Matthew hadn't considered the existence of a position called a secretary-someone who could handle all the work.

Shaking off those frustrating thoughts, Matthew spoke up. "Shawn, I need you to find Caspian Babington and take the route through the Balira Sea. Head straight for the Dornia waters. You'll need to intercept several ships; Prince Garrett of Montiria is on board one of them. Take the Stormbringer and set out immediately."
