Persephone froze. No one had ever yelled at her like that before. Besides, she was a princess used to being waited on! Since she was a child, she never had to change her own slippers. Someone was always there to hand them over as soon as she entered the door.

She lowered her head, murmuring softly, "I've never done these things."

"If you've never done it, learn!" Morpheus' voice grew louder. "When living in someone else's house, voluntarily helping with chores is just basic courtesy! Didn't your parents teach you?"

Persephone pressed her lips together, staring straight at him with tears swirling in her eyes.

"Why involve my parents?" Her voice trembled. "Just say it's about me."

Morpheus glanced at her, feeling annoyed and helpless.

"Besides, I really haven't done these things!" Persephone became more upset. "I thought since you were coming home late today, I'd prepare dinner... but I don't know how! I... I wanted to order takeout, but I don't have my phone. They took it away and lost it..."
