Persephone stared at him, seemingly feeling guilty as if she had done something wrong. She swiftly withdrew her hand from Seamus' ear and clasped them behind her back.

Morpheus glanced at them. He hadn't heard what they were saying. After finishing his cigarette and returning indoors, he found no trace of the two. Instinctively, he stepped outside to find them and faintly caught the words "leaving" at the door.

His heart felt as though it had been squeezed and dropped to the ground, but he quickly regained his composure. He ironically thought, 'What right do I have to feel hurt?'

Between Persephone and Morpheus, aside from being labeled as a couple, nothing else had happened. He didn't even understand how she felt about it.

Their paths might have only crossed that night when she tenderly attended to his wounds. On that particular night, she glimpsed his scars, and it was only then that her tears fell for him.

Wasn't that enough?

They belonged to two different worlds.
