An inexplicable hesitation gripped the bodyguards when they reached the street, causing them to falter in following her.

Persephone seized the chance and made a quick move to lose them. She sprinted toward a convenience store, deftly navigating through a couple of turns until she reached Morpheus' place.

There, she encountered Wynn, who appeared in a rush as he descended the stairs.

"Sephy?" he greeted her with surprise and joy before swiftly becoming alert, pulling her behind him. After a cautious glance around, he whispered, "Nobody is following you, right?"

"No!" she replied, panting. "How's Morpheus? Did Seamus come?!"

"Seamus?" Wynn was momentarily stunned, then shook his head. "Seamus didn't come, but Morpheus isn't doing great..."

"What happened to him?"

"His old wounds were still healing from the fight with Louis. He barely won the fight. Now, with new wounds on top of the old ones, he..."
