“Rhett! You’re safe!” Mackenzie’s voice cracked with relief. Despite the cold and chaos, a mixture of tears and laughter lit up her face. For a fleeting moment, her icy demeanor melted, replaced by raw emotion.

Rhett stepped forward, his piercing gaze fixed on her. “Your Holiness, where’s Falcon?”

Mackenzie froze, her expression faltering as the weight of Falcon’s sacrifice hit her again. “Falcon…” she choked, forcing the words out. “He stayed behind to cover us. He fought the Toad King, but his face… was already rotting from the poison. I… I don’t think he made it.”

A heavy silence fell as Rhett’s jaw tightened, his fists clenching until his knuckles turned white. His dark eyes burned with a quiet fury that didn’t need words to show its depth. It was a rare sight–Rhett’s calm exterior was replaced by something far more dangerous.

Even Dead and Mad, the battle–hardened members of the Ophanim Clan, felt a shiver run down their spines. They’d seen Rhett angry before, but never like this–his silent storm before the strike.

The Toad King, oblivious to his provoked danger, let out a grotesque laugh. He sneered, “Oh, that guy? His face rotted like spoiled, fruit, and his insides? Crushed by my fists. He’s nothing but a frozen corpse buried under the snow now. Hahaha!”

His words hit Rhett like a dagger, stirring fury and grief. His fists clenched so tightly that faint flames flickered to life, struggling to burn even in the freezing air.

Unbothered, the Toad King laughed and taunted, “You’ll all share the same fate! Anyone who dares stand in my way will meet a miserable end. No one stops me from claiming the Saintess! Hahaha!”

The twisted sound of his laughter echoed across the battlefield, amplified by his cultists who cackled along with him. It grated through the freezing air like shards of glass, sharp and sickening, making Mackenzie and the others recoil in disgust.

“Good! You’ve done it now! Prepare to burn in the flames of fury!” Rhett’s voice was low, cold, and lethal, like a blade cutting through the air.

Before the words even sank in, Rhett moved. In an instant, he became a blur of crimson, streaking across the snow like a blood–red phantom. His cloak billowed behind him, a living flame that seemed to dance with his fury, and in the blink of an eye, he was on the Toad King.

The Toad King’s smug grin wavered, and a flicker of regret crossed his grotesque face. Why is this guy so much stronger than the last one? he thought, panic creeping into his mind as Rhett closed the distance with terrifying speed.

The Toad King barely had time to react; he stumbled backward, each of Rhett’s strikes landing with explosive force.

Rhett’s every move was calculated yet fueled by raw fury. His attacks ripped through everything in his path. Wherever he went, the cultists fell like rag dolls, their poisoned blood staining the snow.

“Kill them all!”

Dead, Mad, and the rest of the Wolf Warriors roared as they surged forward,
