My fingers brush the empty space beside me. searching for the warmth from Xade. My eyes peeled open when I skim across cool sheets. I blinked, adjusting my vision to the sun filtering through the window. and rolled on my back, wincing from the aches of my muscles.

The memories of how my muscles got to aching in the first place flooded my mind and a creeping blush splotched on my cheeks.
