Serenity had found the bracelet in her pocket when she had gotten off work at night. However, this man knew the bracelet was with her. He knew where she lived and had broken in silently. He had managed to do all that-who was he?
“You found my bracelet. Say, what kind of reward do you want? I can give you anything reasonable,” Lucas lowered his head, looking down at Serenity.
Lucas could have left after retrieving the bracelet, However, he decided to stay after seeing Serenity’s sleeping face.
Lucas thought that maybe he wanted to see what she looked like when she was awake.

She soon opened her eyes, revealing her mesmerizing dark eyes. Her naturally curled eyelashes made her eyes even more charming.
Her eyes were wide open, but the light in her eyes was something else and did not match her age. She seemed to have gone through many hardships in life. She lost the youthful spirit in her eyes, replaced by a resigned look.

“What if I reward you with something life-changing? Would you want it? Lucas asked.
Serenity could not help but think of what Jackson had said to her back then. These two men were indeed similar. Both men seemed powerful enough to change people’s lives easily.
However, she did not want another person to control her life. She wanted to take control of her own life.
“No need. The bracelet is back to its original owner. I didn’t do anything.” Serenity said.
