Chapter 155
Serenity fumbled for her phone next to the bed and checked the time. It was 3 am, meaning she could still sleep for a few more hours.
Just as she was about to close her eyes, she suddenly sat up with a jolt. Then, she widened her eyes in terror, feeling incredulous.
A man was sitting at the small dining table in her home, and he was playing with the silver bracelet she had found in her pocket earlier.
The man looked like a painting under the dim light. He looked like a work of art drawn on the highest quality paper, using the best brushes and ink. He had thick eyebrows, a straight nose, thin lips, and beautiful eyes. When he looked up a little, his cold gaze seemed a little distant.
She saw the man staring at her, but it felt surreal.

Was this man really here? Did he really exist? C-could it be… Was it a bad dream?!
“Are you awake? The man’s voice broke the silence in the room.
Serenity snapped to her senses. It was not a dream! It was real!
“W-who are you? Why are you in my room in the middle of the night? Serenity forcibly resisted her urge to scream. She tried to sneak her phone into her hands, wanting to call the police while the man was not paying attention.
Before she could reach her phone, the man’s voice sounded again. “Are you trying to call the police? That won’t be necessary. If I wanted to hurt you, I would’ve done that in your sleep.”
Serenity froze. The man knew exactly what she was up to.
“What do you…
“This bracelet is mine,” Lucas stated, stood up, and slowly marched toward Serenity’s bed. “But it was stolen today.”
“It wasn’t me. I found it in my uniforms pocket earlier,” Serenity hastily explained.
“I know it wasn’t you,” Lucas said. “If you had stolen it, you wouldn’t be here now.
