Athena's POV

-Luna Suite-

It's late into the evening when I finally begin to wake, having passed out after giving birth must have been a first for most doctors. Slightly embarrassed as I did.

'Wouldn't be the first time' murmurs Artemis, her voice now ringing in my head.

'Artemis?' I whisper, daring not to hope.

'Of course child, who else could be this annoying?' asks Artemis, her curiosity now getting the better of her.

'Is everything okay? I wasn't able to reach you earlier nor could I wake you' admits Artemis.

Sighing, I debate about telling her, 'It's complicated.'

'Complicated my white sparkly ass. You had a dream didn't you? A horrible dream. It's the only reason I wasn't able to wake you. Magic was involved wasn't it' growls Artemis. Blinking at her reference to her white sparkly ass, I all but held back a smile for indeed our fur was white and indeed it sparkled like moon dust when the light reflected over it just right.

Knowing it's useless to lie though, I all but nod my head before realizing that she wouldn't be able to see it so I opt for voicing my answer instead.

'Yes Artemis. It was a dream. And not just any dream either. I was covered in blood as I stood before the bodies of our mates, our family, our friends but most of all our children. It was a nightmare I don't ever wish to see nor live through ever' I all but cry, knowing she needed to know what I saw.

'Dead? Are you sure?' whispers Artemis, as if she was unable to process the news.

'Yes.. and what's crazy is the voice that spoke to me... It felt familiar to me, like I should have known who it was but couldn't pinpoint the source of it' I say.
