Nelly’s POV.

As I continued to read, the truth was slowly revealed. Emily had lied

her brother was not Alpha Kex’s late beta. She had lied to get close to him, to win his affection. I felt my stomach turn as I thought of the betrayal she had committed, both to Alpha Kex and to the pack.

The feelings of hurt and anger that I had been carrying around for so long suddenly seemed insignificant in the face of this revelation.

“I can’t believe it,” I whispered, the words barely audible.

I walked into Alpha Kex’s room without knocking, the diary clenched in my hand. He looked up at me in surprise, his eyes narrowing as he took in my expression.

He let out a low groan, and I could see the frustration and anger in his eyes.

“Nelly, I don’t care what you have to do.” He took a step towards me, his body tense. with rage. I stood my ground, refusing to back down. “Just leave,” he said through gritted teeth. “Get out of my sight now.”

I shook my head, my hands shaking. “I won’t leave until you hear me out,” I said, my voice shaking but determined.
