Chapter 58

Chapter 58.

Astel POV.

The guard bowed his head and left the room, closing the door behind him. I let out a sigh of relief and relaxed in the chair. The past few days had been hectic, filled with meetings and negotiations. I had been trying to form alliances with some powerful packs, but for some reason, they all kept rejecting my offers.

I was starting to feel frustrated and a bit anxious. I needed to make these alliances. work, or else my pack would be at a disadvantage.

1 chewed on the end of my pen, staring at the paper in front of me. The thought of considering Alpha Kex pack looked terrifying, and I couldn’t help but feel a little afraid.

I tried to push the thought of Nelly and Aisha out of my mind. I couldn’t care less about either of them. What mattered was my pack and our safety. I had to do whatever it took to keep us safe.

I needed to come up with a new plan, or else my pack would be at risk. I had to find a way to get these packs on my side, without having to resort to asking Alpha Kex for help. He was a ruthless leader, and I knew he would demand something in return for his assistance.

I needed to find a way to gain the upper hand, to give myself some leverage. But what could I do? I wracked my brain, trying to think of something, anything that would give me an advantage.

I sat there, racking my brain for ideas, but nothing came to me. Finally, I decided to ask Carl for help. I stood up and headed for his room, but as I approached, I heard moans. coming from inside. I hesitated, not wanting to interrupt whatever was going on in there.

I decided not to disturb them, and turned to walk away. But then I heard a familiar voice, one that I knew all too well. My heart started racing, and I leaned my ear against the door, trying to hear better.

I could hear the voice more clearly now, moaning and calling out a name.

“Harder… Carl,” she moaned out loud.

It was Shantel, and she was calling for Carl. My world seemed to stop, as I stood there,
