Regan POV

Xander has been avoiding me. No matter how hard I try to convince him that everything is fine between us, he acts as though he’s done something unforgivable. I can feel him growing even more distant and no matter how much I try to reach him, it’s as though he’s already pulled away from me. I sighed, staring down at my bowl miserably, pushing it away at the dining table and feeling forlorn. I want my mates. Even Xavier is missing from the pack house at the moment, and I suspect that he’s gone to have a private discussion with Xavier, having already exclaimed he’s disgusted at the way his twin brother is currently treating me.

“Maybe I’ll go for a walk” I wrinkle my brow and consider my options, feeling a little bored and at a loose end without my mates, “or go for a run” I added with a little bit of enthusiasm as my wolf nodded her head happily in agreement with that choice. It had been a long time since we had last gone for a run. I pushed my chair back, stood up, and then moved away from the dining table, heading towards the front foyer and hearing the sound of whispers as three omegas huddled closely together and began to gossip.
