Seeing how calm Nicole was, Evelyn felt as if she was directing a one-woman show. Still, she stood straight and roared, "It's my mother's birthday party today. I don't want to make a scene, so if you still have some shame left, you best leave here right now!"

Suddenly, Nicole broke her calm facade and revealed a chuckle. "I was invited by the madam today. If you want me to leave, Miss Wrenn, then you'll need to bring this up to Madam Gould. If she agrees, then I'll happily comply."
